I would really hate to have some in-experienced setter come and ruin an experienced setters awesome route... be patient..... There is a RUMOR of a Guide Book... Can't say any more ^_^ There is an informal guide already out and lots of info on the internet in addition to an article in climbing. THis is hardly a secret crag.

When I saw the picture of the wood burning stove in the pothole to make a hot tub? I consigned the whole of Shuteye Ridge to L.A. Ghetto. That picture forced me to realize that I have virtually nothing in common with the active crew up there. I want nothing to do with it. They have very little repect for non-urban environments it seems. A fucking hot tub. That thing really bothered me. Oh well, I got to do a dozen or so routes up there before City Moved In. A fucking hot tub. Wow... DMT

ding- Alas, you sound like Tolkien: "Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it." Sigh no more, for it is not so. There are many in the active crew who have more in common with you than you may presume, and were not pleased with the hot tub endeavor. And there are dozen's of new pitches with nary a bolt. Much to my personal chagrin, some bushes have been whacked, but you've been known to employ such tactics with fervor! Shuteye is an awfully large area to blanket with such a broad stroke, my friend.

A great reply Nate. Thank you brother. And I mean that brother part. Keep the faith! DMT
