I am headed up to Franklin Gorge for the first time this coming weekend. I was wondering where there are some camping areas?

i don't know of much right near franklin.
there is the gw national forest, you can camp off 33 between brandywine and va state line.
also there is a great campground right in front of seneca.
both about a half hour away in opposite directions.
you can also sleep in your car somewhere in franklin.
i have done all three and it just depends on what your looking for.

have fun climbing and please, if you are even thinking about it, leave the dog at home.
