hey climbmad. I had surgery on my wrist to repair torn cartilage over the winter, and was lucky to find an amazing hand surgeon. He has a VERY good reputation as a respected surgeon, and i was incredibly pleased with his personality/approach to my treatment, result of my surgery and the post surgical follow-up. I have also met many of his other patients during my PT and i never heard anything less than positive feedback regarding his work. He is not a climber, but works with a great deal of professional athletes, which i think certainly is something you should look for in an ortho. Anyway, his name is Dr. Steven Yang of Manhattan Orthopedics and he is affiliated with Lennox Hill hospital. You should be able to find the website for Manhattan Orthopedics- they are on 77th/Lexington. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. If you need more information please feel free to PM me. good luck with your treatment!! julia

Just made up a new post asking pretty much the same thing... looks like I missed this one because of the typo :) Is there an update? Clarification for the posters - are these people who have done pulley reconstructions?

hey. my surgery wasnt a pulley reconstruction, but my surgeon works on everything having to do with hand and upper extremity. in PT i met at least 10 others who were worked on by him and they all raved about him as well. good luck.
