I was on No Man's Land on the Yellow Wall late yesterday and finished up in the dark. In an attempt to help pack up, my friend pulled the rope without untying the knot. By then it was 8:30 and I didn't want to get back on the climb in the dark to retrieve my rope. If someone has the decency to return my rope, I'll gladly provide beer of your choosing. Email me: KTL6*at*CORNELL*dot*EDU Thanks.

This breaks several laws of booty. It's raining out today, I doubt anyone has taken your rope yet. Why are you not up there rapping in from the top to get it yourself today?

I'm back at work, 3+ hours away in Ithaca. I would have stayed and gotten it back today, but I had a doctor's appointment this morning that I've been waiting for 2 months to get. I guess I would have had more luck with someone pitying me and returning the rope if I got it stuck on Three Pines.

I don't consider a rope booty.

Someone who climbed Three Pines (5.3) and screwed up gets sympathy, it's a beginner's error. Anyone who can climb as hard as you (5.11) out to know better. D. L.

This goes to show that beginner mistakes can be made by anyone at any time.
