I was reading this thread in the General Forum....... http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27945&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 .......and wondered why the "Age" entry was taken off the User's pages? I think it was handy to have--and as I recall no one was forced to fill this blank in, if they preferred not to. Now (I believe) there isn't even the option of volunteering this info. Why? Curt

I have to agree, I found it to be interesting to see a users age. It wasn't required info which I think is the way it should be but for those open enough to volunteer their age it cast some light on where they were coming from. You could see if the person posting was a young punk, or an old fogey. Since it was removed I have no idea if I am an old fogey who acts like a young punk, or a young punk who thinks like an old fogey :? Seeing as I can't remember, I must be an old fogey......or have I simply not learn't that lifes lesson, like a young punk...... :x Help, bring back the ages in the profile so I know how old I am.

Of course us 50 year old derelicts could pretend we're 19, just like we do on all our internet chat rooms.

I also liked the age option in the user profile. I always liked to be able to see how "on par" in the way of climbing I was with people of my age group. Anyways, I liked it and think it should be put back on! Jeff - Age: 19

I'll jump on this bandwagon as well. I'm all for the age field in the profile (optional of course). 8)

Yes age is very helpfull. I choose climbing partners by age. So if that is taken away from this sight it looses a lot of its usefulness. So Bring It Back!!!! :x :x

Trevor, Tim, anyone? Can we expect some kind of response on this from site Admin? That is why I posted my question here in the first place--and, I haven't seen one negative post to my request so far. Curt

Just like the rest, I like the idea of having the ages in the profiles (optional of cource). Its not that I care how old anyone is, its more that I just like to have an idea of who I am talking with.

If this is already in the works, please let us know so we can stop the pestering. If not, then I'm also logging in with my support for the age category. Ed

I for one, miss being able to check age before a response. Makes for a nice guideline wether to exercise patience or not.

If you want people to see what your age is, just type it into your profile. Or better yet, put your birthday, so people can PM you. My vote is STOP MAKING CHANGES TO THE WEBSITE! NOW! Everytime something is changed, it takes weeks for the bugs and errors to be fixed. Or if changes are going to be made, do them on a separate machine, and test them before committing the website to them.
