I don't know if this would work for anything besides bouldering... I once saw a guy simply take a big chunk of chalk and scrub it all over his fingers/palms. If you think about it, it's probably a pretty good method, since it gets a thick coat of chalk in every spot that needs it. I still stick with the chalkball tho...it only costs 3 bucks at sport chalet and has an elastic closure for easy re-filling.

well... i laugh at you all, chalk balls cost $3.50 at the closest gym to me... and thats australian so its like less than $2 american :P :lol:

how to make your own chalk balls by Adam: 1 remove trousers and under pants 2 put chalk bag on the ground 3 stand over the chalk bag 4 carefully lower yourself to the ground 5 stand up Ta da! Chalk balls! Really solves that sweat problem 8)

i sometimes make my own chalk deoderant by plying my underarms with chalk caus i dont have the real stuff and i stink like im dead .... and i recently had someone show me there home made liquid chalk with 100%polpropal alchohol mixed with chalk till sludgy ..... but i wouldnt use a chalk ball if you paid me ..... except that my chalk bag is basically a chalk ball caus its always empty
