So, I'm flying down to Cali this weekend to climb at Tahquitz with a bud, and I check the forecast for Idyllwild and it says Isolated T-Storms. Can any locals verify?

I was on Catalina Island yesterday, (Sun) and even from there it looked bad! Was glad I was there and not in the So Cal mountains anywhere. Most of the Mexican hurricane remnants should be gone by mid week. Next weekend should be ok, but hey! who knows? It's been more threatening on more occasions this year than most, but us So Cal types are a little more chicken about the weather cuz we don't get much of it.

In reply to: I was on Catalina Island yesterday, (Sun) and even from there it looked bad! Was glad I was there and not in the So Cal mountains anywhere. Tell me about it. I had bivied on the top of San Gorgonio Saturday night. Ended up having to bail before dawn for fear of being caught in a lightning storm... -john kitt.

No John, please do not blame that terrible noise on thunder. Every person all had to go from the summit after what you did! In my country, to make a smell like that is much offensive! Please next time drink not so much cheap Colt 45 and put your turkey jerky back home!!! -Reinhold
