I don't know how much has been developed out there, but anybody feel like doing some camping and bouldering, putting up some new problems in Nine Corners? I imagine we'll have to wait a while before the area's not snow-covered, but I'm already planning for warmer weather...who's in?

I've got a crew that has been frequenting 'corns since the spring. It's only about an hour drive for most of us so I don't know that we'll be camping much but we can definitely meet up. There's a great camping site right at the dam which is about 100 yds from the boulders.

Nine Corner probably will be snow locked for quite a while, but I am eager to get back out there! I haven't visited in almost two years!! Keep us updated of when you're planning your trip. Taualim, have you been there? Even with the recent increase in development, the first ascents await!!

Never been there. A buddy of mine (non-climber) was hiking and camping in the area, apparently, and saw boulders and boulderers, told me a bit about it. I would love to get up there and maybe get some FA's, clean the place, and have a great place to boulder and camp for a few days. When the weather is a bit more conducive to such a trip, I'll post again here.

I'm in. I live in Rochester so I'd have to camp out to make it worthwhile.

Cool. I lived on Monroe ave for a bit after college. We'll meet up as soon as the (almost)perma-frost of upstate is a bit squishier and go develop some problems. JK

We've all seen the deep-water soloing pics. maybe we'll get a few deep-snow highballing ones up there. I might be down for that weekend. I'll see what my schedule is looking like as it gets closer.

Sweet. Just send me a PM when you guys wanna go. taualum23: Monroe Ave. is great, it's the only street in Rochester where you can walk and visit 4 headshops in an hour.

Ummmm...long time since this thread has been touched - I'm an Albany area novice/beginner looking to put in some quality time at Nine Corners - any takers for a road trip?
