Not to stir things up BUT: I went to Billings on Saturday to escape winter and to check out someting new. Not a destination but some good stuff, locals were helpful too.

This got moved to the community? Halarious. A resurected troll.

Billings is not the typical log-cabin-check-out-my-phatty-H2-parked-outside montana community. Its gritty. Blue collar. Sure, people are nice... Most of them have regular jobs and like raising families in a warm pleasant community.

But there is climbing here. There are even a few dozen sandstone routes that sit directly above the city and a collection of unpretentious climbers willing to show folks around. If you want more earnest climbing, drive an hour and go play in the Beartooths.

If you want to run with a narrow minded snotty clique, there are plenty of other communities to visit for that. Me, I walk out my back door every night and go work on the routes right behind my house...

Hey Billings, get a clue! It isn't a few measley bolts you should be worrying about! It's the nutcase who goes off on the insult laiden, obscenity laced tirades! Can you spell WARNING SIGNS! Look out!!!

Good to see this place becoming a think tank of constructive information and comment. Grow up people, who are you to diss other climbing areas that you know nothing about. Some of you don't even live in Montana. Oudinardin how do you have time for 512 3rd grade level posts without 1 informative or even positive thing to say? Check out http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/search.php?search_author=oudinardin for some good bathroom reading material. "Billing Sucks" "your still a friggin dick man" "wow, you people are all so incredibly lame" "The best medicine for this would be frequent masturbation" "I just completed my sex change. Whooo". Do you even climb? Or is this just your outlet for venting sexual frustration?

Long live the rimrocks! Leave your drill at home!

I agree. A lot of "sucks", "blows", "dicks" and "pricks" in his posts. "Rimrocks is gay"!!!!! Hard to believe he's 31 yrs old! After reading some of his posts it's clear he may have emotional/psych/sexual issues. Anyway people like him are best ignored, they tend to self destruct, hopefully! They contribute little to anything.

Deep Sigh.....

WE can debate on and on about what, who and why a particular town in our wonderful state sucks or does not suck, but in the end it matters little. The original post about bolting cracks has been lost and, in my opinion well debated over in many threads prior. Honestly, I have never climbed in Billings or spent much time there. It does not seem to suck or seem to be wonderful, just another place I pass through while on the road. So without trying to sound like a pansie (BTW I like Motorhead) lets try and be constructive. Ya'll in the eastern part of the state organize a date and time and post to the gathering thread when it is. Anyone who cares to attend can then sample the quality of climbing as well as the town and then make up there own mind. OR you can flame the hell out of me. In the words of Rodney King..."Can't we all just get along"

NB: If you organize it..someone will come (he he) I'll show up and bring a few with me. ......Here ends the warm fuzzy
