now that the time has changed, i'd like to get out after work more. if anyone's interested in mellow trad routes in the early evening, please pm. i'll have my kiddo in tow so routes and partners will need to be kid-friendly.

thanks!

I'm thinking bouldering up at Flagstaff would be a cool after work deal as well. Should be able to get a few thousand feet of climbing in before nightfall. I'll be driving in from Longmont, which takes me 45 minutes to get to Boulder. So I can meet anyone at 5:15. I'd certainly be up for routes as well. Time to start leaving the gear in the truck.

So maybe Wednesday?

Ahhhh, spring!

You were on Organasm.

Sorry you had a bum trip.

Defiantly some funky vibes in Zion these days...

BUT! Joe and I climbed spaceshot a couple of weeks ago and had perfect weather, and perfect climbing. Wish We'd have started before noon cause we both had enough juice left to climb Touchstone...

Sorry i didn't make it up to CCC with you guys- I had a wicked hang over- then set my clocks ahead twice, bad day.
Off to Moab this week...

Well, it's official. File my former climbing buddy in the 'loser' category, after he blew me off for the 3rd time in a row.

As I said before, if anyone wants to meet up at the Boulder Rock Club regularly, I'm all for it. I'm available in either the mornings or evenings if anyone is interested!

Anyone got plans for climbing this week, inside or outside? My schedule looks to be pretty wide open right now.

I wouldnt spend more than a day at the garden. You should climb there once just cause its so unique. But an hour and a half in either direction and you'll hit some of the best climbing in the state (from my newbie perspective) PM me when you are getting close, I live in CO Springs.

The "Garden is worth more than a day of climbing and offers some of the best "soft-sandstone" climbing in the US. There are a number of classic routes along with a handful of hard climbs (5.12) that are quite unique for that type of rock.

Flamer, I am heading down to Moab Wed-nite. Where are you going? Drop me a line.

Yes Organasm was the one. WOW you guys must have been zooming up spaceshot to have started afternoon and still have time left for another. This was my first time aiding and Larry and I havent done much climbing together so we planned on it taking us a long time.

So everyone, whats the word for this weekend? If things go according to plan it looks like I might be able to have the truck back on the road by this weekend so I should be ready.

Sunday is the day I hope to do the most climbing, but might squeeze something in Saturday afternoon as well. All depends on the weather what and where. Like before, if the weather is cruddy I'd still go climb if anyone is into that. Otherwise I'll just continue to break in my boots on a hike.

As long as it's not raining, I'm up for bouldering at Flagstaff tomorrow (wed) after work. Would be cool to get a regular after-work group together for bouldering or short routes.

I can be there as early as 4:30. Keep an eye on the sky - as I sit in my office in Boulder, there are some pretty ominous clouds hanging over the mountains. Argh!

I have tentative plans to climb in Eldorado on Wednesday at 6:15 if it doesn't rain. I'll be at the Mesa Trailhead parking lot.

Ummm. . .Errrr. . .I obviously missed something. Last time I looked, we were still talking about Colorado. Why the move to community? Not that it matters but why anyway?

Never mind I just saw the thread on the front page explaining the move. But there is a lot of talk in this thread about meeting, when, where and so forth. Not worth getting my panties in a wad or sending hate mail (which takes too much energy) but still, it belongs where it was. It has been the catalyst for bringing a lot of Front Range climbers together. Burry it in the community and it will get less attention.

Let this be a lesson. . .start having too much fun in a thread and you will be evicted to the community. Geeze.

Keeping information organized by burrying it in the Community doesn't seem to be a very proactive method of organization. Especially when the purpose of the thread was to get Front Range climbers out and climbing, which it has done. It doesn't belong in the community!

If so, allow me to be the first one to start talking about porn, farts, pimping wives, having your period, boinking sheep, politics, player hating, and all the other crap that we love to discuss in the Communtiy.

Gotta agree here. So what if it is echoed on the front page, are there only supposed to be shoe threads on there? I dont see what the front page prob is. If others dont want to read it they dont have to click on it. There are so many other posts going in they dont seem to stay on the front page for more than 10 or 20 minutes anyway. I really dont think community is the correct place, I mean who is going to come to community to find new front range partners? But its not my site, I guess I could always create my own if I dont agree, but I'm too lazy for that so I'll just deal with it.
Sorry for the rant.

Well, see you guys and gals in community from now on.

Rob

I just have to put my 2 cents in and agree with zozo. I've met so many great people to climb with on the Front Range thread, and I'd hate to think that others won't have that opportunity in the future because they won't come across the thread when it's buried in the community.

Good Luck!

Dont know if it was your point or not, but we modeled our thread after the MASS one because yours WORKED! Ive got to think they will change this back. I feel so bad for rrrAdam. He's taking the brunt but Im sure this was a collective desicion. Common sense will carry the day!

What is going on here? Seems the powers that be can't have a few people posting their climbing whereabouts. Oh the humanity! Some of them might get off topic and socialize. For shame. And the bandwidth I tell ya.

ONCE AGAIN let me invite you all to join the Yahoo Group I created. You can say whatever the feck you want and we will collectively decide where the thing goes. Plus, it's easier to post pics.

This is frustrating. Why should we have to resort to finding partners and planning events in the Community? Not everyone likes to hang out in this forum. So are the admins/mods who thought of this brilliant idea a least discussing this or shall I go ahead and start a new thread on the front page?
