In reply to: what are the approaches like (at kings)? r.r. Walk about twenty yards, down a flight of stairs, and Climb. Short enough for you? 8) Edit: Am I supposed to be in this thread? Not being from or in Indiana and all?

Yeh dude, its cool. You have executive hoosier permissions to be here. Yeh RR, there isn't much of an approach at King's. I just wish it were a bit closer so I could hear my car radio... Once you've reached the main trail you go either right or left, either way you go your going to find routes from 5.4 to 5.12.

slade, ky (AP) -- met up with greenspace, sportster and easton at roadside today. missed the connection with traddaddy and khack. found the trio on the far side of roadside around 10:30, after asking half a dozen people if they were chris or eric. the two had just finished on-sighting a 9 to the right of kampsight. nice work. 8) 8) did the three 9's. two of them twice. took lunch. easton is serious about eating time.  headed over to torrent. parking lot was packed, but managed to find the two bolted 8's and the 9+ open. climbed wadcutter twice and the 8 once. went around the backside and did the 10d. finished the day on a the slabby, slopey 8. nice heady lead by easton to finish his day. good climbing was had, no great climbing was had. great to finally meet these quality guys. i left them at miquels with pizza in hand and i don't think sam adams was too far off.  hopefully, the trio can hook up with the traddaddy and khack and finish the weekend in style. shank....if you are a little bit slow witted and still trying to climb hard, you might be a hoosier. a_l...hope you had a good day down south. give us the low down. take care all r.r.

In reply to: Blue! Green? Silver? At least you know khack has Indiana plates. Yeah, it was green. Khack and I got down to Miguel's friday afternoon and went to roadside and climbed five finger discount just as it got dark. On Saturday we left a note on the board that we were going to Fortress Wall. We climbed Snake, Where Lizards Dare, and the 2 pitch Party Time. I never did see anybody from Indiana at Miguel's (but there were lots of Canadians). We spent most of Friday and Saturday evenings talking to 'Da Germans' on the front porch of Miguel's. Good climbs and good weather both days. Sorry we missed you guys, but we've got all summer long :!:

Sportster, Greenspace and I were there when 'the man' showed. Too bad we didn't catch up with you Traddaddy. We were busy hiding our beer. RedpointRon, thanks for the credit on the 5.8 slab, but I can't call it a redpoint. Too much hangdogging. We did move on to Princess Arch on Sunday for some trad. Chris led a cool little 15 footer to practice some gear placement and teach me some things. I got to onsite the bottom section of Adrenaline (we think) on trad lead, my first. It was short, but a blast. Thanks a lot guys (Sportster, Greenspace, and RedpointRon.) for letting me play around. I'll hit the gym and build some strength before our next outing so I can hang with you guys a bit better.

Hey guys, I posted a couple of routes at Princess Arch and a few of the pics. I have more if you want them, send me your e-mail and I'll get em to you. Please edit the routes since you guys had the guidebook. There was only on route in the DB, and we definitely didn't do it. Let me know when anyone is up for a trip to So. IL.

awesome time at the RRG thankx to all the guys, greenspace, easton, and ron. It was cool to hang with all you guys, hopefully we can do it again soon. Ron- thanks for bailing us out all those times man, maybe once im down in bloomington we can start hitting the gym!!!! :D :D :D as for the underage girls thing, I didn't know, but greenspace's repetative repeating defenetly shows his jealousy 8) "dont hate the playa, hate the game" snoop I think. Greenspace we'll have to hang before you take off Easton- thanks for letting us use your gear, lets do it again soon. Eric

The pics are up at the Princess Arch section of the RDB. Sorry Sportster, we didn't get any of you or RPR. Thanks to Powers for pointing out my inaccurate account of where we were. Sportster: "Easton- thanks for letting us use your gear, lets do it again soon. " No problem. Since I don't bring many climbing skills to the table, I am happy to provide gear and beer for those willing to let me hang-dog a few routes.

I need to head to Southern Illinois. I am planning on going down 4-23 through 4-25. I know the area a little, but I don't know many of the climbs. I will probably stay at Giants City SP and climb mostly at Drapers and Cedar Bluff. Anyone else up for a trip down?
