Got to say i have found the omega auto locker to be the easiest, but i also understand the lack of security feeling. As far as screw gates, the BD airlock is nice to always have with you b/c it is so lightweight, yet big enough for a rope to pass if you need to use a munter in a pinch.

I love my OP jake. Of everything that goes up, down and stays on the ground with me, it's my favorite piece of cold aluminum.

OP Jake screwlock for all of the above reasons.
#2. BD locking mini pear biner is smaller overall, but does a great job with munters or other rope-bearing work because of the completely round surfaces.
#3 BD Airlock 2 is easier for using a grigri because it's very thin, but still almost as big as the Jake.

I can't say that I have tried a lot of different ones, but I have 6 OP auto lockers that I use for everything from belay to top rope anchors. I usually keep a couple of Enduro lockers on my harness just in case. They are lighter and have come in handy on several occasions.

Do you just use duct tape or repeatedly hammer and saw on the gates to get them to lock?
