In reply to: Hey Curt, are there any climbers you don't know? Will you ever brag that you know me, too? Surely I have a nicer ass than Stannard and Kerwin 8-) Hey Curt, how long of an article do I have to write (@ 35 cents/word) to afford a bottle of Curt-worthy scotch? Hey Curt, did you like Paradise Forks? Hey Curt, guessing the answer to the above question, can I have your new rack now, too? Hey Curt, does it bother you when people spell it "whiskey?" Hey Curt, do you know why my tortoise died last weekend? Did you know that he wasn't much different dead than alive, just a little smellier? Hey Curt, do you think I can send all the V0s on North Mountain this season? Hey Curt, did I really make the car ride to JTree seem twice as long even though you tried to get me to shut up by feeding me Pringles but they were the yucky plain kind anyway and besides that I talk with my mouth full? Too bad we can't give trophies in Community. -Jay

Hey Curt, did you know that if Jay couldn't wear his glasses, he'd be legally blind? :( Does that mean without your hat, you'd be legally bald? :D

In reply to: In reply to: NH is cooler than UT for all of the following reasons and many more: -Easier access to Beer and other staples of a climber's life (whatever they may be) -Orin Hatch does not live in NH how do you have easier access to beer? you gonna buy it for me? who is orin hatch? Do you really not know about beer in UT? It's called near-beer. Only 3.2% alcohol content. I can pound a six-pack and not get a buzz. (And I'm a major lightweight.) Orin Hatch is a repressed homosexual who likes to sing cheesy patriotic duets with John Ashcroft.

Curt, have you really climbed with all the people you say you have? If I imply that you haven't, will you list them all again? :P

In reply to: how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? who's your all-time favorite climbing partner and why? By far and away, the climber I learned the most from was John Stannard. John Gill was another huge influence on my climbing carreer, but of course, that influence was more related to bouldering. As far as "favorite" goes, there are many, many climbers that I have enjoyed climbing with and continue to enjoy climbing with. Curt

I'd just assume not associate the words "work" or "career" with climbing, so hence no "climbing career". So to rephrase, you could say John Gill helped you with your climbing mojo.

Now clausti seems to have left you. Jesus, can't you guys make up your mind? Well, while we wait for her to come back, how was your day climbing? I had a windy but fun time in Eldo on the West Ridge. You?

In reply to: Now clausti seems to have left you. Jesus, can't you guys make up your mind? Indeed, timing is everything.

Probably around 65 degrees and sunny out at Oak Flat today. I did get one $^&*@#ing flapper that wouldn't stop bleeding, but other than that, it was a great day. Curt
