Description
Bravo Trango! This superlight locking carabiner is lighter than most regular carabiners. How did they do that? Well, to start with, it is smaller than most biners, approx 2/3 size. Specs are still an acceptable 24Kn major, 7kn minor and 9kn gate open strength.
This biner rocks. Smooth gate opening with a regular gate configuration (not a keylock) and of course a screwlock. The only caveat is obviously to be expected: gate width open measures 17mil., and the corresponding space inside is small as well. Although this may deter some climbers who strictly aid climb and want the wide open space a big HMS will provide, for the rest of us aging heavy climbers, the weight savings alone is enough to buy 3 or 4 of these. Clipped to your harness, you'll never notice them until you look for them.

Perfect

I love using it on my tie-ins to the anchors. Super lightweight, and I can trust the screwgate to stay shut, because it has to screw down quite a bit before it opens. Others mentioned that it came unscrewed, but I notice if you screw it all the way to the top, and cinch it, it stays nicely for most tasks.

I agree with toml, the gate spins super easy. Makes me feel a little un-easy. Just not too impressed in general.
The best lightweight locker on the market!
Review by: crotch, 2007-04-13
The Superfly Locker is the best lightweight locker currently on the market. This is THE biner for that critical pro that must not fail. This is THE biner to hang on your harness with your prussics for self rescue. This is THE biner to clip that bomber cam in your anchor. For any task that requires a locker, but doesn't call for huge gate clearance or lots of room for many knots, this is the biner.
Awesome Small Biner

This is an awesome biner, super light, nice and small. I use it on my ascenders and my grigri and they are a perfect size. Costs close to the price of a non-locking biner and is as light (if not lighter) as a non-locker. You can never have enough lockers.

Super super super light carabiner, dubbed "Superfly" for a reason. If weight is an issue for you, this is the answer. Other than that it is a bit on the small side(the downside to being leight no doubt right?). For small applications however; there is nothing better in my opinion.
