Review 4 out of 5 stars

Review by: petsfed, 2005-03-27

Better design and more durable than any BD headlamp I've owned. I bought this to replace my (simultaneously) destroyed Lunar and Moonlight. I'm quite impressed. Almost completely water proof, durable, and compact. I like that. Battery pack is well designed if a tad bulky (its the largest, given its capacity) and puts the power cable where it needs to be.

Of the four headlamps I own, this is what I use the most. It's agreat balance between weight and vaersatility. The LEDs save battery power while providing plenty of light for around camp or on alpine starts. The bright halogen bulb is excellent for route finding at night or spot lighting your friends whiel their comuning with nature.

Wroks great with no trouble. Although, a little heavy on the head.

This is an awesome headlamp. The big halogen bulb is great if you need lots of light in a concentrated area, or if you need to pinpoint something that is far away. With just the turn of the lamp, you can get the LED's which off pretty good coverage of low light. The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 is that you are carrying a big battery pack on your head, but it isn't that bad. And you can relocated to your belt if you want.

By far the best of the "hybrid" headlamps. It offers a very bright and adjustable halogen bulb where most of the competition offers a marginally bright non-adjustable halogen bulb. I own the Myobelt 3 because when the only time I need a headlamp is when it's cold out.

I also own a BD gemini and am not happy with it at all. Definitely go for the myo :)
