Good shoes, definately worth consideration on your next buy. I found the above reviews to be very accurate. I would recommend these shoes for sport and gym bouldering. Sizing is touchy. I would recommend 1/2 size down (European) for a nice performance fit and a full size down (European) for a super tight accuracy fit.

I haven't had the fit problems as seen above. I wear size 8's in Evolv Defy and other models, and I also wear 8's in Pontas. They are a little more snug than the Defys, but I believe they are ment to be so with their more aggressive nature. When I wear these, I can edge on ANYTHING, and still be able to smear like a champ. The shoe is stiffer than the Defys, which is nice. Heel cup is excellent for heel hooks! These shoes are great for anyone looking to sport-climb or boulder. I don't use them on longer trad routes, as they get uncomfotable after a while, but not so much that I couldn't stand them.

1- Comfort: None;) The sole is stiff and synthetic upper is very thin (comparing to evo), what makes them quite uncomfortable. The shoe does stretch just a little to allow you (painful) break-in but stay snug. On slabs or long trad they grind my toes.
2 precision: Perfect. They really, really stand on nothing. slippery limestone micro-footholds are no problem, but they dont work well on big overhangs probably due to their non-agressive shape. Heelhooks are ok but evo works better.
3 Feeling of rock: Marginal.
3 Overall: Great performance shoe that helps You climb beter on short sport climbs.

i bought these strictly to be my gym shoes for bouldering. they fit and climb very similar to my most recent pair of shoes, mad rock's mugen (although the heel fits tighter and better in the pontas). they are not as aggressive as i would like though, so if you're looking for something for reallllly steep stuff, i would go with something different....overall a good shoe for the price, but don't expect miracles in them... sizing wise, i wear 11 1/2 street shoe and bought a size 10 pontas. At a size 10 my toes were curled, i had a tight fit, and i could wear them w/o constantly taking them off. If i really wanted performance i would have gone to 9 1/2 but like i said, they're my gym shoe...

Evolv has done it again. These shoes are great, perfect for vertical to just a little steepness. Edges and smears like a dream come true. Great Trax rubber. I sized a 1/2 size smaller than my Kaos and a 1/2 size smaller than my Predators.
