I bought this set about 2 weeks ago (new retail price is $30, which makes it even sweeter). I absolutely LOVE these things. First, they make quick and easy workouts reasonable. If you only have 10-15 minutes to spare, you can do the full recommended routine--which is still really tough unless you climb pretty frequently. Second, they offer much more variety than a hangboard in a much smaller and cheaper package. While the sheer variety of holds is actually smaller, once you combine it with limitless grip angles and widths, you have nearly infinite options. I found that after only a few workouts on these, I've actually improved my contact strength and went right back to bouldering as well as I ever had--despite taking almost 9 months off for a broken toe in the offseason! Highly recommended.

Sticky zipper, small opening for large hands, and the zipper seam tore after two short seasons. Mediocre quality and functionality, but scores points for unique design and very low profile--easy to pack flat! Would not buy again.

Amazing shoe. I bought it for all-day trad, but it gets more use as a bouldering shoe (even though it's less convenient than a slipper, it's worth the extra 20 seconds of work). Excellent smearing and edging, comfy fit, excellent construction and durability after a year of use. I will DEFINITELY be going with Evolv again.

Got this as a freebie from a retailer. And I'm glad for that. This is one of those things that looks (and smells) like some kind of industrial byproduct, but Metolius slapped their name on it and sells it for $5. It's okay for general forearm/hand conditioning, but it's extremely gimmicky, non-climbing-specific, and overpriced even at $5. I think Metolius cheapens their good name by selling this. However, it is a nice stress reliever in the office, much better than a spring grip, Gripmaster, or racquetball. I also like it more than the Powerball (gyro ball) due to simplicity.

I'll keep it short, since everything was mentioned above! (Re: AL/GA edition) Chris Watford raises the bar yet again by improving an already very good guidebook. This one just entered "great" territory.

Big pluses: Huge Jamestown section, expanded and detailed Moss Rock Preserve topo, excellent cliff topo photos.

Minuses: Only a passing mention of HP40, but no problem info. But realistically, DrTopo already has a free guide, so why waste pages by duplicating it?
Hopefully access will only get better in the coming years, so I really look forward to future editions, too. Nicely done.
