Description:

A spectacular line that ascends the left side of Community Pillar. For good beta- Click Here. Also note that by stepping left after the crux pitches of Birthday Party, one can avoid the nasty chimney pitch above and enjoy the spectacular dihedral pitch on this route instead.

4 out of 5 stars Honeycomb Chimney

Starts out bad, including a little bushwhak and some real bad rock on P1...but then the 4th and 7th pitches are spectacular....so worth doing. The 7th pitch corner is the crux and is full on 5.9. Looks hard to protect from below, but actually is not to bad. A super 100' corner pitch. The 5.8 squeeze on P5 is hard to protect, but a #3 fits in a pretty solid pocket. You can get by with double 4's. You don't need anything larger than that on the two most challenging pitches, the rest is easy ground. NOT A BOLT IN SIGHT, how refreshing.
