3 out of 5 stars Heady

Not for the 5.8 leader. Feels a little weird with the tree right behind you. Don't think you could sling it for pro though until about the point where you get gear anyways.

Route is ok but I am not sure that it deserves the star that it gets in Rossiter's book. And I definitely don't think that it deserves a 5.8+ - maybe 5.6 or 5.7?
Anyway, expect no gear for the first 25' - but the climbing's easy. Ended up placing about 3 or 4 pieces.

Good route, short but, sweet. There isn't much pro on this route. I think I got a orange TCU in just off the ground (wouldn't have been good for much) then it's a smooth fifteen twenty ft to the next peice which was a bomber nut placement followed immediately by another. Some more climbing get you to a #1 camalot placement then, traverse left to the 2 bolt anchor.

Led this as a warm up for Emerald City. It's a nice top rope as well (seeing as it's one of the easier routes on Rincon).
