Can't come to north Wales and not do one of the classics. Solo up and back down, because the route is less scary than the descent. The rock was warm dry and gorgeous

The rock was dry, even the mid-section below the quartz. the sun shining, and this route is perfect for a solo. Was there early, before others, so that I didn't spoil their enjoyment.

A classic and well used route, with great traverses, cracks and all kinds of fun things to do. The rock was dry, so the polished bits didn't cause a problem, but I bet in the wet they will be fun. Down climbed the route.

Lead
A nice consistent route, nothing very hard, but nothing very easy. Can be protected almost anywhere. The crack at the top of Foolish is beginning to get polished.

The first groove can be either jammed, stemmed, or a combination of both. The move right can be made in three, two, or if you have long legs and arms one move. The blind groove is easier to stem than going onto the arete. Then grab the big ledge, mantle and all thats left is the polished final short crack.
