5 out of 5 stars Sweeeeeet!!

Exellent climb with a remote feeling while viewing dowtown Vegas. Hiking out in the dark was a little difficult having never been there before.

5 out of 5 stars Gmoser

Very memorable climb. Got lost on hike in, had lots of rockfall from party above, got caught in lighting/rain storm on retreat, and managed to get off route on final rappels. Wouldn't trade that experience for anything!

4 out of 5 stars East ridge

Great variety. Spent the night below the big step, but not directly below in case of rock fall. Would hate to be caught in a storm on it and I have tremendous respect for anyone who climbs it car to car in a day.

5 out of 5 stars Matrix

Best route I've done in the east. Bouldery cruxes, with a little bit of run out and great exposure. Had to work the two 5.12 pitches crux moves, but they are well protected. Could be done as a sport route if you don't mind big whippers. Enjoyable hard climbing with the best rock quality I've seen at Whitesides of the 6 routes I've done there.
*Note*
This route has good belay anchors!

5 out of 5 stars Mt. Assiniboine

Easy route in good conditions. It took me three tries to summit this mountain though. First attempt was in November and the hike in was brutal through 2 feet of snow the whole way. Once I got to the cabins, and saw what the mountain looked like, I turn around and left. The next year my friend and I got there the day after a snow storm and didn't even make it to the hut. Last year, I finally got some good weather and cruised the route from hut to summit to hut in about 8 hours. Very poor rock quality, but an awesome looking mountain. The hike in and out is amazing, but I'm glad I don't have to do it a fourth time.

Only did first pitch, but a good crack climb unlike anything else there. You can traverse left 15 feet from top of first pitch and rap off double bolt anchor.

5 out of 5 stars Full tilt boogie

Endurofest. After the good rest, blast through the face to the roof past a bolt and then watch your forearms grow. Huge holds up high, but I didn't have the endurance to push through. Protects well. Can't wait to get back and try again. *Not a good route to rappel or toprope*.

3 out of 5 stars New Diversions

Worst route I've done at Whitesides so far. Navigation is confusing, some crappy belays, and poor rock quality. Still results in a memorable day.

Crux pitch is best pitch I've done at Whitesides. Loose rock as usual. I took a big fall on last 5.7 pitch from a broken hand hold.

3 out of 5 stars Paralleling

Best route I've done there so far. If pitch 1 freaks you out, get a diaper for pitch 2. You'll be amazed at what your feet can stick to.
