3 out of 5 stars A step up from Head Jam

IMHO this might not be the best 5.7 for a new trad leader -especially if it is "greasy" from recent rains. The offwidth crack in the first 25 feet is harder than it looks and the pro was less than ideal.

4 out of 5 stars Sustained

First pitch was pretty sustained in the 5.7 - 5.8 range. Bring gear up to #5 cam or a couple extra pieces in the 2 to 3.5 inch range. A single 60m rope will barely get you down from the top of the second pitch. Don't forget to protect the second on the traverses!

4 out of 5 stars Big Pro

Pro up to #5 cam came in handy. Rap rings at top of first pitch. Have to make a gear anchor at the top of second pitch. Tricky chimney - took a while to figure out how to get out of the "cave" near the top.

3 out of 5 stars Short

A short route with interesting moves. After 30 feet, the grade drops off to around a 5.4, where you have the option to walk back down. Bring a couple of 4 or 5 inch pieces of pro if you have it.

5 out of 5 stars Definitely worth the hike

This would get a lot more traffic if were easy to get to. Meat Puppet is swarming with earwigs and no-see-ums in mid June.

4 out of 5 stars none

Pumpy, less than obviouse route finding and gear placements will keep you thinking if your trad lead limit is 5.8.

4 out of 5 stars Target Practice

Great View. Belay the second from above. Significant rope drag makes top-roping difficult.
