Ascent Note
Worked this for longer than I care to remember, hated it for most of the time - just had to keep at it! When the lower off reached on redpoint, very little emotion. Thought f**k this, take up drinking beer and mountainbiking instead!

Ascent Note
Peed off taking fall from easy juggy roof (wet hold my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!)
Got it next try taking a dry rag along with me.

Ascent Note
First ascent of this route with a buddy Andrew Roberts. Named after the (at the time) best steel mountain bike in the world manufactured by Fat City Cycles in Boston MA - at this time I ran a company that was the UK importer of these fine bikes.

Red Point ascent by: johnnym on 1986-09-21

Ascent Note
First ascent of what has been called by some a little b*st**d due to the tenuous nature of the climbing although short. On first ascent, took big fall due to crystal breaking underfoot (and handhold in thin crack being crap) - got it next go.

Ascent Note
Graded E2 in old guidebook, so didn't think anything much would result and didn't even tie my shoes properly. Then came the worrying crux on pitch 2 where I spent 15 minutes in deep thought (s*itting myself!) before committing to the move. When through the move which is excellent you realise what a superb route Finesse is.
