5 out of 5 stars Crack!

Best trad climb I have done. As the name says, it is a straight line right up the center of the wall! The first pitch is strenuous but the dikes let you take rests. It is the best pitch with a couple crux jam moves. The second pitch is definitely easier but has a mini roof to pull. Starting right under the main roof, the third pitch is super short. The roof is easy and just needs a little muscle to hoist yourself up and over on big jugs. Savor this climb… it is definitely a five star route!

5 out of 5 stars Alpine Style Climb

An alpine style climb for sure. The approach is tricky. Route finding is hard at times and navigating over the massive boulders can be hard at times. Once at the route though it is 100% worth it! The first pitch is mediocre with a cool exposed traverse, but the quality climbing doesn’t start until pitch two. It has some amazing crack climbing up to a hanging belay. The third pitch is the mental crux. I led this one and traversing out to the face is pretty intimidating. The climbing is not that hard here, though you have to run it out about 60 ft. A 120 ft fall was pretty daunting as I placed my next pro when I met up with the crack. My favorite pitch was the last one. It stayed in the crack and led across a surprisingly easy roof crack. The exposure there was unreal!

3 out of 5 stars Solo

Climbed this one free soloing after Skimbleshanks and Grizabella so head games were not a factor at all for this one. Climbed it with only shoes; such a great, free feeling! Down-climbed after relaxing at the anchors for a few minutes on the mini-ledge.

3 out of 5 stars Free Soloing

This was my second free solo and a lot easier than the first one (Skimbleshanks). I cruised up this to the cool anchor position in the dihedral. Brought a rope on my back and rappelled down.

4 out of 5 stars First Free Solo!

Amazing route and was a perfect level for some intimidating but safe free solo for my comfort zone. Just looked for a high star easy route in the guidebook without reading about it so I got a solid OS too! It has a bit of everything and then allows you to do just a few feet of easy scrambling to top out all the way. Awesome!

3 out of 5 stars Beginning and End

It felt like the beginning moves on marginal edges was the crux but the pump made the last balancing moves really tricky! Heartbreaker fall at the very end. Going to clean redpoint this one very soon!

3 out of 5 stars FA!

A fun traverse with all fairly easy moves but can become pumpy because you are staying above any good rest ledges. Nearly fell of at the end at the left side aręte but held on for the OS FA.

4 out of 5 stars FA!

Awesome DWS! Tears up your hands a good deal but is a quick, fun, pump and is an extremely safe DWS as long as the swell isn't too big.

2 out of 5 stars A Reach

It is pretty reach going for that crimp with the left hand. Fell once and then stuck it. Once I got the crimp finding good feet was tricky for the topout.

3 out of 5 stars Fun Problem

Short one or two moves but still good to warm up for some of the slightly harder problems at Tree Slab. The hold would be too small IMHO for the problem to be a V0.
