3 out of 5 stars Puzzling for 10a

This climb draws you into no mans land. The actual solution is to a jug that looks like a crappy sloper. Once you figure the sequence out, it's an easy, one-move wonder.

1 out of 5 stars Chop????

Don't chop this route....even though it takes gear, no trad leader in their right mind would even think about doing it. Maybe a good one for someone who wants to be a trad leader, they can plug gear, and clip bolts for uber security and have fun thinking they're leading trad....

1 out of 5 stars A route?

I think this one is here only to allow kids a chance to learn to lead sport....

4 out of 5 stars Maybe the best at Gritscone

Since I did it on toprope (multiple times), I can honestly say that the grade is spot on compared to the area in general (harder than you would think, considering Gritscone climbs are uber-soft). Sustained climbing, even when you get the sequence dialed. Pulling the bulge is definitely the most fun part, and there are many ways of doing it. I love running laps on this one to build stamina.

5 out of 5 stars Get it...

Easy climbing to a crux makes this a one move wonder, but the crux move is definitely thought provoking right before the finish....

4 out of 5 stars Sequence is hard to read...

If you're tall (6'7" wingspan), you can skip from the pocket and undercling sloper directly to the jug....otherwise a fun sequence of crimps that feels easy (once you have a workable sequence for your body type down).

4 out of 5 stars A project....sad because it's so short

A V3 boulder problem with a rope. There are 2 ways to do it. Once you get a left hand in the slot and a left foot smear, either go up to a right sloper and pull the roof (powerful), or paste a right foot on the roof and dyno to a jug out to the left.

3 out of 5 stars Easy for 5.10a

No way is this 5.10a, it's easier (though more sustained) than the 5.9 right next door.

4 out of 5 stars Best route at Interstate Park

This route doesn't get nearly the traffic that it deserves due to the crappy access pitch. The exposure feels huge because it's an arete, and you get the feeling of being 500ft off the deck, even though it's not even close. The free rappel into the cave is also stellar. I love this route (even though it feels more like 5.6 than 5.8).
