3 out of 5 stars Not the best warmup lead.

The 2008 guidebook lists this as 5.8 but several people there called it a challenging 5.9 (as I was leading it - thanks! ;)). I found it more challenging than Don Coyote (5.8) and So Funny I Forgot to Laugh (5.9), both of which are more straightforward and would have been a better warmup.

Nice arete climb with solid holds all the way up until the last few thin crimps and sloprers below the anchor. Good for photos.

4 out of 5 stars Fun lead

Great climb. Hardest moves are the first couple and the final to the anchor (especially if you reach around to stand on the ledge to the right of the chains). Stepping out from the first anchor ledge is super fun. Easily combined into a single pitch, but the nice ledge at anchor 1 makes it a great climb to use to practice multi-pitch. A nervous second will appreciate a directional draw on the last bolt of the lower pitch.

Well-named climb with awesome views. Consistent climbing until near the top, requires some figuring out to get a good position to reach around to the right near the final bolt. A couple loose holds and a hollow sounding flake in the first half, but I don't think they're going anywhere for a while.

Good quality crack climb with an interesting finish. Easy pro. Unfortunately the crack is short and half the climb is just getting to the crack. There is a short but fun 5.10 variation to the start that involves climbing the boulder instead of the dirty gap between the boulder and the face.
