Best route at the wall
This was my favorite route at the Royal Columns. Varied and enjoyable.

hand crack
Good variation of sizes, but mostly hands. A good warm up.

thin but good pro
Another thin finger crack at Tieton. Pretty fun though.

cupped hands
The start is pretty tricky and the upper half is all about conserving your pro and resting when you can. I took two blue camalots and wished I would have had one more. Great route and the warm up at the crag.

double it up
Scrambled up to the ledge to climb this one. The cracks are flaring and a little weird to protect but the stances are good and the climbing isn't too hard. Probably the easiest 5.10 at Chimney Rock. Worth doing if you are rapping down, or have done the other routes on the west face.

physical
Followed this route. My partner led it as one long pitch. Don't fall out of the slot if you do it as one, you will most likely hit the ledge.

exposed and excited
Excellent way to top out west face routes on the right side of the wall. Protect it well for your second and make sure they have cord and know how to ascend the rope if they fall. The start is pretty loose, so be careful.

Large and in charge
We top roped this route from the chain anchors on the last pitch of Cooper Hiser. The layback starts at 4 inches and only gets wider. You could probably sneak some small pro in on a few horizontals and small cracks but it would be sparse. The squeeze up top is physical but secure. Very unique for Chimney Rock. Would be a bold lead.

ass kicker
This route is vey high quality. I got my ass handed to me by this thing. Top roped it afterwards and had a lot of fun. Highly recomended. Note: The anchor consists of two old bolts right next to each other and one new one. Slings may need to be replaced and could use another rap ring. Some quicklinks would be nice through the bolts too, currently the webbing is running directly through the hangers.
