3 out of 5 stars Free solo

This is a fun and "heady" free solo. Jansen Gunderson and I free soloed this in 2000. Bring somebody along to drag the bouldering pad, as you traverse away from it.

I soloed all but the last 30' of this late in the season. Then I got to the big pine tree, the last little bit wat melted, with 3' round holed in it. For some unknown reason, I was craving cheese!!! I was able to swindle a belay from Dennis Turnville. If he ever reads this, many thanks for sending me a cord. For those of you not entirely willing to risk life an limb, simply solo the first two pitches. then hike down about 50 yards east of the flow in deep snow.

This is not two pitch. This was my third ice route ever. Basically, I tailed the entire route, behind the Durfmeister. He send the last pitch quick and hard. People say this route is avalance prone, already claiming climbers lives in the past. Don't yell too loud under the dagger!!! Good route, I won't do again.

Enjoy you ranting and raving (spraying). I got sucked into it, yet I've decided to focus on the climbing rather than being a sudo-reporter. NOTE: this does not pertain to any person using this site as reference to future climbing plans. Don't post anything, and use this site as a cheap way to avoid guidebooks. Good Climbing- Stroker

This route is harder than the arete, yet it recieves an easy rating than its left neighbor. It's also much more fun

This thing looks wider that it actually is. Bring some 3.5" cams, and optional #4 black diamond camalot, and some t.c.u.'s to mid size. If you are there on the weekend, get up early. This requires not drinking too much the night before.

This route rules!!! Bring a single set of cams up to 3", at least six slings, and a #4 and #5 Black Diamond Nut. Oh yeah, bring some draws too. This route is made by god (whatever god or form of god you believe in) designed for climbers.

p.s. an extra yellow metolius t.c.u. is helpfull.

Fun climbing, with a surprising start. Nearing the top is the best part of the route

This route was fun. I really enjoyed it up to the big ledge. From there I had to carefully move to more stone while dodging loose stuff. The climbing above the ledge wasn't anything special with the exception of a 7 foot finger crack. I think there should be another bolt next to the bolt before the gravel ledge. Below that ledge was good.
