Good intro to exposed climbing
I agree with the previous poster that Three Pines has less exposure for the true beginner. I'm getting more comfortable with exposure myself and enjoyed escaping the roof at the start of P3. I didn't think the traverse was all that tricky, except that some of the flakes in there that are obvious hand holds looked like you could pull them off the wall. The serving-platter sized chunk of freshy-fallen rock at the base was a little unnerving. Overall still a very enjoyable climb.

Very nice climb
My first time following. Great beginner route - lots of good holds with a few skimpier sections to add a little challenge. Generous belay stations with that great view of the valley. Not a lot of exposure except when traversing over the "diving board".

My first multi-pitch, first trad climb
As the middle of 3 climbers, I can't call myself a true second - I cleaned no gear. Fell once on P2 when my arms pumped out at the crux. Wanted to do the ceiling, but will have to come back when I am stronger and more efficient. The views from the two belay ledges were stellar on a clear day. I can see why this one is a classic.

Not too tough above and below the crux, but the crux is a doozy.
