Description
Simond designed the Spider Quickdraw with a keylock gate on both the rope and bolt ends to allow for easy clipping when it means the difference between sending and whipping. Add a tough Dyneema sling into the equation, and you have yourself a high-performance quickdraw. Whether you take the Spider Quickdraw on an ass-kicking sport climb or grueling trad pitch, you can always count on excellent performance.

These are the anchors for my draws, and along with some BD neutrinos and BD dyneema dogbones, they are amazing. The nose on the spiders really is special for clipping into bolts, even on an unsteady attempt, they find their way in. And easy to clean too. bomber for draws.

I love the gate action, and the unique nose shape makes it really easy to clip and unclip bolts. My only gripe is that the nose is quite sharp. It could easily fishhook your hand if it was on the rope-end 'biner, and you made a clumsy grab for the draw. (Ouch!)

I love these draws. They are super smooth, and even easier to use that petzl keylock biners. I will never use anything else on the bolt end of the draw. Be careful to avoid the Simond Rocky biner, which for some reason is currently linked from this page. They aren't the same - make sure you get the Spiders.
