Description:

F.A. August 9, 2003 by K. Zemach and "S.F. Rob." This was also the FA of Gheebar Rhahl via the climbing (not hiking) routes. Pitch 1, 120', 5.9. Fun!!!! Has small (3') roof/overhang with large undercling to use (thank God, er, Allah). Pitch 2, 80 feet, 5.8 chimney (protectable). Good for such a short pitch. Pitch 3, 90 feet, 5.2/4th class. Nothing good can be said about this pitch. Pitch 4, 100 feet (70 of good climbing), 5.10a. Fantastic; really too bad it's so short. Don't be deceived like we were- it's actually slightly overhung at the top, and not as easy as it looks (meaning it looks easier than 10a). The rock is good quality, but the reddish color rock is not. Standard hazards of unpopulated climbs: loose rocks, brittle flakes. Non-standard hazards: unexploded ordnance. Don't pick up $#!& if you don't know what it is.
