About Yamnuska:

The Crown Jewel of Canadian Rockies trad climbing with a very long and intresting histroy. Many have cut there teeth on her beautiful face as well as pushing the limits. Wether its a spiritual grand wall or a pile of choss Yam has something for everyone. Around 150 multi pitch routes and variations from 1 to 12 pitches from 5.4 to 5.13. Rock (Limestone) is fractured but with great face climbing as well. Complex routefinding in a spectacular setting on the edge of the Canadian Rockies overlooking the foothills and flatlands. Big adventure.
Nearest town or city: Canmore
Directions: Drive 30 min east on the Transcanada highway (45min west comming from Calgary). Take the seebee turnoff to the 1A highway. Yamnuska is the first big cliff on the north side of the highway as you enter the mountains. Recognizable by a huge scree slope below it with an appartent trail through it.
