Description:

From the power station gate, hike around the station to the far end, with the gate and wind sock. Follow the old road up a short ramp to a level plateau. Hike off left into the wash, looking for the trail with cairns that leads across the wash and around a rather large boulder with roofs and cracks on a sunny southern face. Shenandoah lies off the point of this ridge, about 200 feet east of and slightly below the trail. Easier access to the base can be had by rapping from the anchors of "Can't You See", the three-bolt 5.7 just south of Shenandoah. If you leave your rap set up, you can lower from the anchors of Shenandoah and TR your way back up "Can't You See" to regain the trail, avoiding a steep thrash around through the gully.

Descent Options:

Rap or lower
