Most likely the first technical route in Joshua Tree. P1 (5.5): Same start as for Gaz Giz, the veer sharp right to ledge at overhang, then up and left to belay at base of chimney. P2 (5.10b): up the chimney.

Descent Options:

Rap from bolted anchor chains atop North Overhang.

2 out of 5 stars Marked 5.7 in one of the books

The J-tree Falcon Guide lists this as a 5.7. Jumped on for my morning warm-up... it worked. Took a bewildered (but small) fall before diving in. P1 rock quality sucks, P2 not much better & mostly covered in birdshit. Still had some fun & will probably get on it again someday.

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

rope drag makes this a two-pitch climb, even though its only about a 100' long.
