Description:

Black Tide ascends the prominent black water streak at the right edge of the Left Flank between B-line and Espresso. Positive holds at the bottom lead to a lower angle section at mid-route. Pockets and small edges on a steep black flake lead to stemming and a horizontal with the 2-ring anchor on the right wall.

Someone told me that this was 5.10b. I enjoyed it, but... On the way home I was planning to say, "Seems easy for 5.10b. More like a 5.9." Turns out that it actually IS a 5.9.

Moderate all the way up. Even the odd clipping situation seemed more awkward than hard.
