4 out of 5 stars Less than ideal conditions

We did this route with a fair amount of powder over very little ice. This meant we spent a lot of time trying to locate footholds on rock under the snow. It was a grand adventure, though, and got us good and tired.

Great Route. Excellent to train young climbers with a lot of evergy, who are trying to develop a large knowledge base of alpine skills. Remember to bring crampons at at least one ax (alpine or ice tool)!! Could bivy at the cave by chasm lake if you bring two rope to rappell the old bolts route to come back and recover heavy bivy gear.
