About Icebox Canyon:

Icebox Canyon, home of some of the best climbing in Red Rocks. Also the canyon with probably the most untouched rock in the area. Icebox is home to three main areas, along with a multitude of untraveled climbs that are probably unjustly so.

Access: Icebox can be accessed via the loop road, it is just after Willow Springs.

When to climb: As the name implies, this canyon sees a fair bit of shade. It is a good early fall or late spring destination. In the summer, though, the sun is directly overhead and a bit hot.

Classics: Sensous Mortician, Magenellic Cloud, Frigid Air Buttress, Unfinished Symphony

Nearest town or city: Red Rock
Directions: Icebox Canyon is the 6th pullout on the loop road, just after Willow Springs. One trail leads into the canyon with several hiking trails veering off after you enter the canyon proper.
