5 out of 5 stars goood

climb. I might actually love this climb. First time I smoked out coming over the mantle... but man is it a great climb. Big static smooth moves to good holds.

3 out of 5 stars nice route

I think it's easiest to hand traverse right at the end, then top out. Climbed the route once a few years ago - came back and got it first try.

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

5/15/03 - Redpoint attempts (6 tries). 5/19/03 - Redpoint (3 tries). Took me a while to redpoint Pulse over two days. Did it with the draws hung, and it would be significantly harder for me to hang them myself. After a couple tries I had the bottom down pretty well, although the clips are still hard. The top is not too bad when you're fresh, but the crux for me was doing the top moves after some tough climbing on the bottom.
