About John Bryan State park:

Lot's of 20-30 foot Tr's from easy to moderate grades(5.6-5.11) Generally not crowded whatsoever (on a busy day you might meet 2-3 other parties). EASY access to anchors (10 ft. off the trailside) Well shaded in the spring and summer ,but bring that rope bag ,the belay ground is DIRTY. ALL lead climbing and bouldering is prohibited.
Nearest town or city: Yellow springs
Directions: FROM Cincinnati head North on 71. turn left when you reach 72 North. Follow 72 to Clifton andturn left on SR 343. Drive around 2 mi. and take a left at a marked road(JB sign) Drive 3 mi. until an entrance on the left. stop at the park office and take a tag after registering and then you are free to climb at any open site.

Access Issues: All climbers and spectators must register at the park office before going to climbing area at John Bryan State Park. Each Climber or spectator must take a registration tag from the board upon registration. If no tags are available, you must wait until someone checks out. All climbers and spectators must have their registration tag on their person in plain view while in the climbing area. Registered climbers and spectators must also have their copy of their evidence of registration on their person while in the climbing area. All climbers and spectators must check out when finished by returning the registration tag to the board at the park office. Other climbers may be waiting for you to check out so they may register to climb. Climbing is permitted only at designated sites. Each site is limited to a maximum of 10 people at a time.
