Description:

This classic line lost several tons of rocks from the top of the route. The second pitch just has not been the same and is rarely done. "R" rating is more like "X" without a sharp belay. On the runout, your belayer should be prepared to take up, perhaps run a little and crouch at the end, because you're coming down! Classic thin sketchiness.

3 out of 5 stars rule of thumb

if you feel like it's run out to the new anchors location... clip the 3rd piton - it's still there below the chains.

With no warm up... I actually got a little flash pump figuring out the polished rock moves past bolt 1 and 2.

Fun little runout after the 2nd piton. I used a 35 meter rope. It was just barely long enough to rap off with.
