About Texas Rock Gym:

There's quite a few toprope and lead routes all around the gym. The bouldering isn't as good as it was at Exposure (to give you a feel), but it's still not bad. There could be more space devoted to it. TRG's a decent size (go to their website for pictures), but if you don't like it go outdoors somewhere since there are no other gym companies in or around Houston. Some of the routes were greasy and didn't appeared to have been changed often. I've heard this sentiment expressed to me from other climbers who have climbed there too, as well as complaints about metal that sticks you from the steel belted radial tires shredded at the base of all routes.

As for the staff, they constantly patrol the gym and even take time to lean against a wall and watch you climb for a few minutes. They are defenitely everywhere, so if you have any questions, they're there to ask. Also, the staff seemed pretty nice and cordial.
