Description:

A good corner/face crack with a bouldery start; watch for rope drag in the crux section. Rap down from the anchor on top of Cactus Flower

This route was an easy 5.7, but maybe not so easy as to downgrade it to 5.6. I enjoyed the route - it took great gear, but did have a couple of parts that gave me something to think about. As a climber who's relatively new to the trad sphere, this route was a great confidence builder.

Part of a 10 route day with Zach. Great weather, no other climbers present all day at any location we climbed. Hard to beat this route for a beginner 5.7 lead I would think. Great gear all the way. The 5.9 that goes off on the horizontal is worth doing as well. We also did the 5.11b that finished off on that 5.9. Zach got it on sight.
