4 out of 5 stars finally....

Today was the day, it turned out, for the Amphitheater to not be crowded and nice people I knew to have a rope on this one. It is as "technical" as it has looked: with two degrees less slope to the wall, it would be pushing 5.9 for difficulty of holds and footing. It even relies on a finger pocket right away. Fortunately, it becomes easier toward the top, with finally a jug or two where needed; and there is no place on it that feels ugly to do. My respect to those who do lead it.

3 out of 5 stars Nice warmup on a cold day

Enjoyed this climb. It's mentioned as runout in the book, but I'd say for NC, it's not at all runout. The first bolt is a little high, but that's normal in NC. The climb felt great. What looks to be obvious jugs turn out to be surprisingly sloped :)

5 out of 5 stars Balancy

It's a fun route but somewhat runout after the first bolt as stated below.

2 out of 5 stars a little...

hard and potentially dangerous for 5.8, a fall before clipping the 2nd bolt could be bad. But a nice short climb if conifident on the grade.

5 out of 5 stars be brave

its another great climb just beware most will agree that it could use atless 1 more bolt on the way up going from bolt 3 to the anchor can be a little nerve racking

2 out of 5 stars Saw a wild turkey on the drive out

Did this at some point before but never recorded it.

Pretty decent climb although the distance between the first and second bolt is enough to deck. Thankfully there is a good sized ledge that makes the second clip pretty easy - just don't screw up. You might land on a dead tree or a large cube shaped boulder. The crux seems to be between bolts 2 and 3. It's mostly about balance not strength...

4 out of 5 stars Good Slab Climb

This is great practice for very balancy slab-climbing technique. Can't imagine how scary slab climbing at stone mountain must be where the bolts are 30+ feet apart!

4 out of 5 stars Interesting Route!

This was my first sport lead, definitely made me think. Wasn't hard, just different. Lots of slopers!

2 out of 5 stars Turkey Shoot

The first 2 bolts are generously spaced if you decide to lead this one. I did it off a top rope. The top was quite wet.
