Followed Geoff. Great pitch of climbing. Exciting crux will scare the crap out of me when I lead it. P2 looks awesome but will have to wait until next time.

Thoughtful crux

Followed David up this pitch, to get to P2 on Annie Oh! Quite nice climbing, especially up higher on the pitch. Didn't do the second pitch though - next year!

So the guide book (Dick Williams) mentions that you should back up the pin at the crux with a small nut. He ment really small. The only nut that I could get (although bomber) was a DMM Micro nut rate at 4kn. I equalized it with the pin and felt good about it. The crux is commiting and leaves another 5.7+ move before you get more gear. Lots of fun!

On the second pitch at the crux I had to stare at it for a minute or two and get the balls to do the move!

p1 had some loose rock, but was still comfy. p2 had a great thin move under the overhang. maybe one of my favorite climbs at gunks so far.
