Climbed this to Lunch Ledge starting at about 3:00. We finished up via Block Route and summitted right at sunset.

Good climb

Fun to get in a few pitches in the dark

I lead the route with my mother in tow for her first time on this line. I had already climbed it several times in the past. It is a fairly easy route with no difficult moves. The first pitch up to the ledge is easy to follow with three bolts along the way. The second pitch is easy to get confused with Skip to My Lou. There are several bolts leading up along a nice ramp. Once the ramp hits a corner, look up for two more bolts that lead to a double anchor belay. If you end up at a belay in a large dish with a bolt above your head, you are on Skip to My Lou. The last pitch is a super easy, direct line to a two bolt belay at Lunch Ledge. No protection is needed on that last pitch.

I wanted to start out on Cave Route and continue to the summit via My Route. Cave Route was busy, though, so we started out on Jim Dandy instead. I think I approached the climb too casually after having such a blast on it the day before and I felt really awkward on pitch 1. Everything was clean, but I just wasn't making the best decisions on the rock. Pitch 2 got me back in my game and I felt so comfy that I ran out the entire 3rd pitch. Stupid really, but I climbed a little off route and skipped the one bolt on the 3rd pitch. Instead of going back down for it, I just made a b-line for the anchors.

Great first lead! Maybe I am weird, but I actaully found it easier to lead than to second.

Girlfriend's first lead. She did excellent. Just clipped bolts - no extra gear.

Great intro to multi-pitch for the girlfriend, awesome scenery and exposure, and beautiful weather all day. 4th pitch a little more runout and fun, the piton was suspect though!
