Good warm up
This little climb is a great warm up and a good 1st lead for begginers. Try Route of all evil 5.7, then The Umbilical 5.8 next and then Brewser 5.9 for a good start on the day. All 3 within 50 feet. Lots of fun

The Umbilical
Can make a hard start by using the crack left of normal ( easy start ). This adds more fun. Good feet on the climb. A bit slabby on the last 2 bolts. Use runners on the lower bolts to reduce rope drag.

Sketchy start after 1st bolt. Great feet on small dimps and edges. No hands ontop after chains. Good warm up climb.

East Butt with snow
Start early,6:00 am or the afternoon showers will get you some extra adventure. Pitch 8 is REALLY fun with some white stuff on it. Can be extra REALLY fun with lightening too! Solid 5.6 moves on most pitches. Can make some 5.7 variations and still stay on route. Not much shelter from the elements.

Regular route Variation
Start with the regular route A (super topo) for the first 3 pitches. Skip the bottleneck at the Chimneyand move right to a short wall (5.7) and folllow up the arrete approx 160' to a small ledge for the belay. This will let you finish in 1 more long pitch 180' to the top. Finish with the 5.8 face crack at the top

Fools Rush 5.6
This climb is on the south side or the arrete that forms White Maidens Walkway. Use as an alternate start for the first few pitches to White Maidens. On pitch 3 cross over to White maidens. Continue on White Maidens for pitches 4 & 5. Great views and no people. A bit runout. But good.

Finally completed the 2nd pitch. Need to use a figure 4 knee - foot combo to complete the diehedral. Pretty physical. Full comittment for last move on top.

Alpine practice
Lead w J Cook 2nd. First climb of the day. 40 at 8:00am w north wind at 25 just for fun. Great practice for the sierra. Could not feel fingers after 5 minutes. This route is gettin smooth and greasy

Lead w S Langner 2nd. Met some Czech's they let us play through. They were workin on toprope? This route is gettin real greasy makes for some schety hands just when needed, need to upgrade to 5.5
