I followed the route -- definitely not a TR climb. A great alternative to the other Black Velvet routes if they are crowded.

About as good as 5.9 gets. We summited just a huge storm rolled in -- lightning, rain, hail, wind -- and did our best to become very small beneath a stunted pine tree. Ah, the memories.

Both pitches are a must do. At the time, this route was at my trad leading limit -- I was thoroughly entertained!
