About Mississippi Palisades:

Traditional and Top Rope climbing. Great dolemite climbing with a good variety of climbs and heights (no real multi-pitch climbs), particularly for Illinois.

The climbing areas are: Sentinel (just south of park entrance), Sun Buttress, Upton's Cave, Indian Head, Bee Wall, Butter Walls, and Twin Sisters.



The Amphitheatre (Mud Wall) is closed to climbing indefinitely/ permanantly.

Nearest town or city: Savanna
Directions: From Savanna: drive about north on 84. Follow signs to the south entrance of the park. This is where you'll find the more developed climbing areas. Palisades are all along river.
