About Crowders Mountain:
| Hours of operation vary according to the time of year: Nov. - Feb. 8am - 6pm; March AND October 8am - 7pm; April - Sept. 8am - 9pm. From a 5.0-13b Great History, some holds do chip off on you while climbing though! Great weather, very crowded during summer time! Great hikes also! http://www.crowdersmountain.com offers great info on the climbing at CM. There is an interactive map and climbing guide, and all the info you need to get there and find everything you're looking for. The guidebook is more helpful tho. |

| Directions: | Go down I-85 (like going to gastonia), exit Edgewood Road (exit 13) and go South. Continue straight thru the stop light where the road name will turn to Archie Whitesides Rd. Continue a couple of miles to Linwood Rd. where you will take a left and then a right into the park access. Don't forget to fill out the climbing permit at the little box at the trail head. Climbing is free. |
