One huge roof! Heel-toe lock way over the roof is hard, but the traverse is down-right wacky. I swear I was speaking in tongues on that cold March day way way back in 1995!
IMO:THE Best route at the gap...in fact it's even better than most Gunks "test pieces".

Challenging but reasonable; good holds, good protection (big gear needed above roof for airy traverse left), photogenic. A memorable roof, 3 stars.
Don't let that airy traverse scare you. The big protection is right there. And, if you don't want to squirm along the weird horizontal offwidth you CAN hand traverse it- only the 1st move is iffy.
